What To Expect

We exist to worship God, proclaim Christ, and develop fully devoted followers of Jesus who will extend His love for others.

We’d like to welcome you and your family to visit Cornerstone on Sunday!

What should I wear?

What should I wear?

Visiting a new church can often be unnerving, but rest assured we are more focused on people’s hearts than what they are wearing. Feel free to wear what you want, whether that’s a suit, dress, slacks, your favorite blouse or graphic tee, shorts, or jeans. Feel free to wear whatever you are comfortable in. We want you to feel at home in our service and we hope that you return!

When should I attend?

In Eldridge, our 8:15 am and 10:45 am services are close to 75 minutes and usually begin with a welcome and announcements.  After the welcome, there will be 25 to 30 minutes of worshiping in song through modern worship music.  This time will often include a special component of some sort, whether a time of prayer or a ministry report.  Children aged Pre-school thru 2nd grade are then dismissed before the sermon for Children’s Church. The proclamation of the Word is then given and the service is closed with a song, providing an opportunity for responding to the Holy Spirit’s promptings in our hearts.

Sunday School for all ages and Adult Bible Fellowships are a great way to meet others and go deeper in our faith.  We typically offer at least a few different options for adults and these classes begin at 9:45 am.

In Dewitt Sundays begin with Sunday School for children and an Adult Bible Fellowship hour at 8:45 am. At 10:00 am our Worship Service begins and is very similar to the Eldridge service experience. Children sit with their families to start the service and then after a time of worshiping in song children ages 3 yrs – 2nd grade are dismissed to Children’s Church.

There are a lot of kids at Cornerstone!  We want them to engage in the service with us. We provide opportunities for children to have their own age-level learning as well as a nursery for those who have yet to reach Children’s Church age.  In Eldridge the Nursery goes up to 24 months and in DeWitt it goes up to 36 months.

When you enter the main doors of our Eldridge Campus come to the Cornerstone Kids Counter on your left.  There you will register your child and get a name tag.  All of our volunteers have been background-checked and are excited to be able to minister to your children.

We believe disciples are those who increasingly love and obey Jesus and grow most rapidly while in relationships with other disciples. We also have several ways to connect and engage with others to learn more about growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Please feel free to call the church office at 563-285-8080 if you have questions or visit our Connect and Ministry pages for more information on ways you can connect with us!

You are always welcome!
