In times when we are in trouble we want to be extended grace, but when someone else fails we’re often inclined to call out truth and judge them. The Word calls us to hold both grace and truth in balance. If we err on the side of truth then we can become legalistic and completely miss God’s grace. If we err on the side of grace then we can fall off the deep end and miss God’s sanctifying work.
