How would you feel if your life was literally changed by Jesus.  Mary’s life had been actually changed by Jesus, not by hearing about Him from others, but from direct contact with Him.  She had been demonized and Jesus had compassion on her and cast the demons out.  This had a profound impact on her life and it was she who Jesus first revealed Himself to after His resurrection.  Then there was Thomas.  He had many doubts.  He couldn’t bring Himself to believe that Jesus had risen in spite of what Mary and the others had said.  His doubts were great, but when confronted with the risen Lord His faith was made strong.
