God loves diversity – just look at creation! However, some in Corinth felt they were missing out because they didn’t have certain spiritual gifts. They wanted the flashy showy gifts like prophesying, speaking in tongues, and healing. Those who didn’t receive these felt like they’d missed out, but God gives all His children gifts and they are all necessary to the proper function of the Church.
