The Apostle Paul has spent the majority of this chapter focusing on unity in the Body of Christ and encouraging each person to exercise their gifts.  However, this next section moves to recalling the Believers’ old ways of life and the hardness of heart that can be found when one spurns the promptings of the Holy Spirit.  God wants our minds to be renewed in Him and not allowed to turn towards old sinful ways.
