Life is difficult when you feel like you have no hope.  The world looks scary and you feel overwhelmed; you wonder if this is how the rest of your life is going to go?  The widow of Nain was hopeless as she’d lost her husband and her son.  It’s into this context that Jesus steps and performs a miracle of raising the dead.
