Our vision in Cornerstone Kids is for kids to know, tell, trust and obey so they will STAND in the day of battle (Psalm 78). Our teams provide God-centered, application-oriented teaching in a safe and engaging environment where relationships with Jesus and others can thrive.
II Timothy 2.15: Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
The global leader in child and youth discipleship.
Awana equips local volunteers in churches around the world with Biblical evangelism and discipleship solutions so that today's children may become tomorrow’s Christian leaders, in every aspect of society and culture.
AWANA is a global ministry with a vision for boys and girls to know, love, and serve Christ. At Cornerstone, AWANA Clubs meet on Wednesday evenings, September through March. Club time is divided between large group, small group (handbook), and game times. Our desire is to connect children with God’s Truth and to equip them to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.
AWANA at Cornerstone is available for children in kindergarten through 6th grades. We have programs for nursery and preschool age children available for the kids of parents who are volunteering at AWANA.
Our 2019 VBS has concluded. Please check back for 2020 information.
We provide a safe, secure, and loving environment for babies and toddlers during each of our worship services and during Sunday School time to give them a great first impression of their Heavenly Father and to give moms and dads the opportunity to worship and grow without worry.
Sunday school (for all ages) is held at 9:45 - 10:30 every Sunday. It is the primary tool we use to disciple our kids. We use D6 2nd Gen curriculum. All ages - preschool thru high school and ABF (Eldridge) study the same scripture at the same time.
Children's Church is offered during our three worship services.
Children from ages 2 up to 2nd grade (Eldridge) and 3yrs - 4th grade (DeWitt) are dismissed after a time of worship with families prior to the sermon.
It teaches Biblical truth to children at their own age level. We use "The Gospel Project" curriculum and are in year 2 of the 3 year walk through the Bible.
