Have Kids or Teens?

Cornerstone is a kid-friendly zone! We offer age-appropriate ministries for families with kids and teens. We encourage child engagement and participation at all age levels from birth thru high school.  We offer nursery, children’s church, and Sunday School on Sundays.  As well as midweek activities during the school year.

  1. SAFETY Protocols – Safety is a HUGE priority for us!  When kids are safe, they can relax and learn, as well as their parents!   We have implemented safety protocols to provide a high level of protection for your kids. All adult volunteers are screened through an interview and a federal background check. In addition, every child in our care is accounted for with our check-in system.

  2. CHECK-IN Process – Our Sunday morning check-in process is simple and user-friendly.  You will check-in at the Children’s check-in kiosk in the front lobby.  Each time you check in, 2 tags will be printed –one to stick on your child and one for you to use for pick-up. If we need to contact you for care of your child during service or ABF hour, you will receive a text.

Frequently Ask Questions

Cornerstone is known as one of the friendliest churches in the area with a congregation of people who love to get to know one another.  From the time you enter the building to the time you leave, you will be greeted by several different people who care about you and are excited that you are here with us.

Visiting a new church can often be unnerving, but rest assured we are more focused on people’s hearts than what they are wearing. There is a variety of clothing styles from casual to professional based on what people feel comfortable with. So wear what is comfortable for you.

We have two locations that meet on the weekends.  We also have midweek programs that you can find more information about here

There are a lot of kids at Cornerstone!  We want them to engage in the service with us. We provide fun learning opportunities for children to have their own age-level learning as well as a nursery for those who have yet to reach Children’s Church age.

Eldridge birth to 24 months

DeWitt birth to 36 months

Children’s Church and Sunday School

When you enter the main doors of our Eldridge Campus come to the Cornerstone Kids check-in area in the lobby.  There you will register your child and get a name tag. (see the check-in process documented above on this page).  During our 8:15  and 10:45 am service children aged Pre-school thru 2nd grade are dismissed before the sermon for Children’s Church.

Nursery is provided for those up to 2 years old during our worship services.

When you enter the main doors of our DeWitt Campus a greeter will point you in the direction of our children’s director.   Nursery is provided for ages birth thru 36 months.

Services are close to 75 minutes and usually begin with a welcome and announcements followed by 25 – 30 minutes of worshiping in song led by our Worship Team.  During this time, words are projected onto a screen to sing along or one can just simply enjoy the music as we prepare our hearts for the day’s sermon message.

Just prior to the sermon message, children aged pre-school thru 2nd grade are dismissed for Children’s Church. The sermon message is then given by one of our pastors.  Our service typically ends with a prayer, a final song to provide an opportunity to respond to the Holy Spirit’s promptings in our hearts, and a benediction.

We welcome visitors to sit wherever they feel comfortable inside our sanctuary.
